I'm from California and I live in Texas. To me, the fluffy white stuff is very alien. It's cold, wet, and people, like to throw it at my face. That usually leaves me to want to stay bundled under warm covers with a warm drink.
Though, in the mornings when the sun rises, all that white covering the ground is very serene and pretty. So I can understand the split. Or maybe I just don't like the combination of people and snow
