THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
At its base level, Julians plan of getting the Empire to draft a constitution seems farfetched. Even if the Empire chose to draft anything, how does he expect to influence the outcome? He'd need either an extremely high level insider like Hilda or an underground grass roots campaign of billions. Perhaps I'm missing a variable somewhere.

At the very least the Empire won't be attacking for some a long while so they'll have time to iron out future plans.

...even a saint needs a soldier to do the dirty work.

.

I agree it seems rather difficult to understand how he would manage this, but I think the idea perfectly fits to Yang"s will to find a compromise with the empire through negociations. It was touching to see how everyone tries to inherit Yang's will with their own way or skills.

Amazing episode as always, Julian is trying to gather Yang's thoughts probably to construct a doctrine and plan to constitutionalize the Empire.

Lol at anime reference in the 35th century. I would be awesome if anime would survive that long.....

Great episode really. Recently, I've noticed that Fredericka has had some great scenes and I'm liking Julian as the new "lead" more and more.

LOL @ CG reference
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

I would crap my pants twice if Julian and Reinhard got together to take down the Earth Cult. It would have to take until season three for the show to finally establish a clear evil.

I'm impressed by Julian's idea to turn the current government into something workable. Certainly something Yang would've done if he were alive.

I'd like to credit the writers again for that funny scene with Attenborough and Poplan. Attenborough's lines always have some degree of awesome to them, especially that one where he brings up"foppery and whim". :D

I had the same thoughts when Attenborough talked about animes ^^ I even made Screenshots to post them, but it seems someone beat me to it xD

And about Julians plan: I wonder how he'll try it. By negotiations or by somehow taking over the empire. Both seem to be impossible tasks at the moment, but who knows how it will turn out, there are too many variables (Reuental, Oberstein, Rubinsky, De Villier, Truniht...)
I probably regret this post by now.

Laughed at Attenborough, though this definition doesn't really applies to C:AS since the ending was foreshadowed from the beginning, it's just that some lazy people like to ignore all 1st season and say "LOL DEUS EX MACHINA EVERYWHERE".

Seriously.

The gimmicky nature of the Alliance characters is really starting to show now that Yang is gone. Poplan and Attenborough do a hit-or-miss comedy routine, we cut to Julian being a boring fanboy, then his pointless girlfriend shows up, and finally Poplan comes in and salvages the scene. It was nice to see Julian's hallucination/study-session I guess, but at this point the only republican character holding my interest is Frederica.

A lot of people appear to die in that show, and then show up alive and usually uninjured. Just off the top of my head, there is...

rofl (had to remove quoting the pic since BBCode is down in case anyone was wondering why)

Anyways I really don't get how they intent to get Kaiser to adopt a constitution they write up (I mean he has no obligation whatsoever to even read it) . . . Although perhaps he will be so bored with politics later on he will just go w/e, I'm gonna go live with my older sister, do whatever the heck you want. (Kind of wish this would happen since it would be hilarious, but know it won't)

I think that Reuntal is going to cause a coup and then he will break up the Empire. After that, Julian and the rest will come in and take over planets with little to no defenses and in the end, Reindhart and Reuntal will be weak and Julian will beat both of their forces one by one and win.

Not much happened in this one. I've been getting De Villie and the Grand Bihop confused this whole time thinking they were the same...

Iserhorn clearly have a fake sky and sun to make it look like it's outside somehow which is cool.

Interesting plan by Julian but can't see it working.

Everyone hates Truniht, but he's fun. Like a cockroach he won't die.

Power rankings:
1) Empire
2) First Government of August
3) Rubinski
4) Earth Cult- About to be destroyed hopefully
5) Goldenbalms.

MVP- Dusty. The anime reference made me smile.

Making the Empire redact a constitution would be the best outcome for everyone, tough I doubt how would they be able to do that. Reinhard anyway could agree to do that, but most likely in his latter years.

This was a good episode, though I don't have much to say about it. Maybe because it's too late (2:32 AM) to think properly.

Anyway, that preview... It seems like the regicide wannabes won't stop coming. Did they just hint about some intimate relationships between Reinhard and Hilda?

Though there are only two people that could be held responsible for Westerland. One of them is Kaiser Reinhard von Lohengramm, the other one is the Minister of Military Affairs, Fleet Admiral Paul von Oberstein. I hope this is just a vague hunch and not another premature killing of a character. I couldn't stand watching Oberstein die.

felt this and previous episode served more as "opening episode" than serving some bridge to future episodes. only here and there hints and plot devices.
though it sounds as critique, i honestly grew on much of LOGTH usual characters, so i don't really care to just watch slice-of-lice spin-off lol.

dunno how julian gonna make constitute for the empire.

how funny that poplan is making joke about how in anime they can revive character as director's will, but toward the end feredrica just saying "i do not care for your revival be out of nature". lol

from some reason i can see the isserlohn republic cooperate with the empire to strike on the terras, but no character is willing to make that choice.
